Acceptance of Terms

By accessing lewca.com or using the LEWCA plugin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Description of Service

LEWCA is a WordPress plugin that helps identify and remediate accessibility issues. The plugin includes a free tier available through WordPress.org and a paid Pro tier with additional features.

  • Free: 32-button accessibility toolbar, 38 WCAG checks, 21 automated frontend fixes, manual fix editor, bulk fix walkthrough, legal document generator, dashboard widget, and scan history with CSV export.
  • Pro: All free features plus 19 additional toolbar buttons (disability profiles, TTS, translate, dictionary, reading mask, and more), 7 deep scan checks, AI-powered fix system, scheduled scanning, email notifications, PDF/DOCX export, toolbar customization persistence, and theme color auto-detection.

No Compliance Guarantee

LEWCA is a tool designed to assist with accessibility improvements. It does not guarantee compliance with ADA, WCAG, Section 508, EAA, or any other accessibility standard or regulation. Accessibility compliance depends on many factors including content, design decisions, and ongoing maintenance. Users are responsible for their own compliance obligations.

License and Use

  • The free version of LEWCA is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later, consistent with WordPress.org requirements.
  • Pro features require an active paid license from lewca.com.
  • Licenses are per-site unless otherwise specified in your plan.
  • You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense Pro features.

Payment and Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Annual licenses renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Current pricing is listed at lewca.com/pricing.

Free Trial

We offer a 7-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card is required. Each WordPress domain is eligible for one trial. After the trial period, Pro features are disabled unless you purchase a license.

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day refund policy for Pro licenses. If you are not satisfied with LEWCA Pro within 30 days of purchase, contact [email protected] for a full refund.

Email Communications

By entering your email in the setup wizard or scan results, you consent to receive product updates via email. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting [email protected].

Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The free version's core functionality operates entirely within your WordPress installation and does not depend on our servers.

Limitation of Liability

LEWCA is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Merkra shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the plugin, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Modifications

Merkra reserves the right to modify these terms, the plugin's features, and pricing at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
